The vast majority of our products are eligible for VAT exemption because they class as medical devices. This means that you do not need to pay the VAT on the products provided certain conditions apply. Firstly you must be, or you must be buying on behalf of an individual, who has a chronic condition eg arthritis or osteoporosis, or for an individual who is registered disabled. If this is the case then during the checkout process, once you have selected the items you wish to order, then please click on "checkout now". On the next screen you will then be asked to enter your address details for the invoice address. Below this is a check box for VAT, if you are claiming VAT exemption please tick this box and enter the reason for the VAT exemption. Once ticked the VAT will automatically be removed from your final order confirmation.
All that we will then require is a signed VAT exemption declaration form that will be posted out from us to your address at point of order. This must be signed by the individual or a related individual on his/her behalf and returned to us within 14 days of the order. Products that would qualify for VAT exemption include all wheelchairs, walking aids, living aids, lift and rise recliners, powerchairs and many others. Items that do not qualify include overbed tables, high seat chairs, normal recliner chairs (no lift and rise function), high seat and high back chairs, 2 seater & 3 seater sofas Please call us on 01525 382179 or 01296 710023 if you have any queries or need any guidance.
